CURRICULUM VITAE
Writing Roles
JACKSON WRITING SERVICES
November 2017Â - Present
After many years of writing quality content, I decided I'd gathered the skills and clientele necessary to create my own business. I currently serve the editorial needs of multiple clients all over the globe and have experience writing to both regional and international communities. My business has given me the opportunity to work alongside experts in high-performance computing, climate change, quantum physics, cybersecurity, and more.
EDITOR IN CHIEF
January 2018 - June 2021
Science Node was a publication, created by CERN and the NSF, with the goal of bringing academic science stories to the average reader. Our 50,000 newsletter subscribers were mostly interested in supercomputing and various other tech stories, but I also spent a large amount of time covering climate change when I was Editor in Chief of Science Node.
BRANDED CONTENT EDITOR
January 2017 - November 2017
I worked as a Branded Content editor at Dose, a large content marketing firm that focuses on turning a client's message into successful viral campaigns. I learned valuable lessons here about how to speak to a large audience (Dose has 754,000 Twitter folowers) as well as how to determine what a client actually needs.
TECH CONTENT WRITER
August 2015 - January 2017
While I worked as a Content Writer for the Tech desk at Brafton, I was required to keep up with a hefty workload. Some days, I needed to write 4,000 words of engaging and exciting content. Working on a tight schedule with such complicated topics gave me the confidence to tackle any task with ferocity.
